A Frome man has appeared in court accused of assaulting a young girl during an incident in the town has had the case against him dropped.Shaun Daniel Witcombe, 29, of Tower View, was charged with assaulting the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, by beating her on November 17 last year.At a previous court hearing prosecutor Christine Hart said that the defendant was alleged to have assaulted the young girl while trying to take her mobile phone away from her.Witcombe pleaded not guilty...
