A removal man who swiped a £15,000 engagement ring and £2,000 silver watch from a house he was packing up in West Cranmore was spared jail by a judge today.
Robert Athey, age 24, of Coronation Road, Frome, had previously admitted one charge of burglary.
Prosecutor William Parker told Taunton Crown Court that Athey had been working as a removal man at an address in West Cranmore on September 6 last year and was supposed to have been packing up items in downstairs rooms.
