A teenager who led police on a chase through the streets of Somerset reaching speeds of up to 95mph avoided jail by the skin of his teeth today.Curtis Yaldiz, who threw white powder and paper out of the car windows during the pursuit, pleaded with the judge to not jail him, saying he was 'scared' to go to prison at the sentencing today. Yaldiz, 19, of Freedom Avenue, Yeovil, had been unlicensed and uninsured when he spotted a police patrol car in Stiby Road on August 30 last year.
