A scam designed to con people out of money while damaging their computer is on the increase, Dorset Police has warned.
Officers have reported that a Sherborne resident was targeted by a 'ransomware' virus - a piece of software which locks a computer and displays a message stating that the owner has been viewing "illegal material".
