Figures have revealed that people living in Somerset and Avon are more likely to fall victim to domestic abuse from a partner than almost anywhere else in the country.
Avon and Somerset police recorded 19,433 domestic abuse related incidents between January 1 and December 31 last year – the fourth highest number of any police force in the UK.
