Burglars smashed their way into a high street chemist during the early hours of Sunday.
The store on the High Street in Wells remains closed today after the shop front was seriously damaged.
Thieves appear to have battered their way through the glass doors.
It has not yet been confirmed yet how much stock was taken, but the front of the shop has been boarded up and customers have been told it will be 'closed until further notice'.
It is understood staff had to turn customers away...
