Police have released an image of 16 potentially lethal weapons that have been handed in over recent days.The knives were left in a surrender bin at Avon and Somerset Constabulary's base in Bridgwater.Bins were placed in eight locations across the constabulary's patch as officers fights knife crime - which rose by nearly a quarter in the last year.The news comes soon after nearly 25 per cent of Somerset shops tested were caught selling knives to under 18s as part of a police exercise.
