A seven-year-old boy is in hospital with "critical injuries" after he was hit by a car on his walk to school.
Police officers are appealing for witnesses and seeking to reassure parents after the collision at 8.09am today (October 12).
The boy was walking with his parents along Sherborn Crescent in the Canford Heath area of Poole, Dorset, when he was struck by a silver Peugeot 107.
