Tough new police guidelines will see large fines issued for speeding calculated on a motorist's weekly earnings – with the possibility that 150% of a driver's weekly income could be demanded from them by law.
In a new crackdown, which has been welcomed by the RAC, drivers will be fined 150% of their weekly wage up to a limit of £1,000 on a road or £2,500 on a motorway.
