The new owners of the George Hotel in Crewkerne plan to modernise parts of hotel just weeks after purchasing the building.
South Coast Inns bought the hotel from Frank Joyce at the beginning of January and plan to revamp several of the rooms.
Plans have been submitted to South Somerset District Council to replace five existing rooms with "modern hotel bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms".
