Police are urging boat owners in the county to be vigilant after a series of burglaries on narrow boats on the Kennet and Avon Canal. Four canal boats moored at Pewsey Wharf and one at Marshfield Mooring in Trowbridge, were targeted, between April 15 and 20.Padlocks from the boats were removed and entry was gained. Alcohol and a mobile phone were among the items stolen during the burglaries.
